AI agent questions from Reddit, answered for small teams.
Reddit is full of practical questions about AI agents. We link to the original discussions below and give our own answer from the perspective of a Chicago implementation studio.

Can an agent really help a very small company?
A small-business owner asked what an agent can actually do. Our answer: start with one recurring job that has visible inputs and a reviewable output. An agent might prepare a customer-response draft from approved documents or turn job notes into an invoice draft. The owner should see the source and approve the result before it reaches a customer.
Write down the handoff before choosing software: what starts the job, which records the agent may read, what it produces, and who handles an exception. If you cannot describe those four things, the workflow is not ready for unattended action.
What should a business automate first?
In a thread about getting started, the owner listed reporting, HR, and support. We would choose one, based on frequency, risk, and access. For example, a weekly sales report can begin as a draft assembled from approved exports. Compare it with the old process for two cycles. Record time spent, corrections, and missing data before adding another workflow.
This also tells you whether you need an AI agent at all. A fixed rule or ordinary automation is usually cheaper when the input and decision never vary. Use an agent when interpretation is needed and a person can review the result.
What does AI agent setup actually buy?
A discussion about setup pricing asks a fair question: what is worth paying someone to do? We think the deliverable should be a working task in your tools, scoped access, a test set, a named reviewer, and a handoff you can operate. A chat demo alone is not a finished install.
Our $2,500 Reviewable Agent offer covers one qualifying workflow. More complex integrations need a separate scope. The intake call determines whether the fixed offer fits; we do not promise that every platform or process can be installed for the same price.
Where do voice agents fit?
A small-business discussion mentions phone intake and difficult exceptions. A custom voice agent can do more than answer a call: it can understand the caller's purpose, consult approved knowledge, prepare a follow-up, and route a sensitive or uncertain conversation to a person. The workflow and the handoff matter more than the voice itself.
A pilot should test real call types, accuracy, escalation, and what happens when a caller asks for something outside scope. See our Chicago voice agent pilot assessment for the separate service.

Bring one recurring job to a free 30-minute intake. We will map the sources, review point, and failure path, then say whether an agent, a simpler automation, or no build is the right next step.
